2019 has been the year for beautiful baby girls in my Syracuse Newborn Photography studio. Miss Hannah was the seventh newborn girl in a row!! But being a mom of three Snow Angels, I love all the frills, lace, headbands and all the girlie stuff that goes with it!
I met Hannah’s parents while partnering with the CNY Doula Connection. They came and heard me speak at the annual partnership meeting and came back for my Mother’s Day Mini session for a couple’s maternity portrait. It is so neat to be able to meet and work with clients, building up my relationship with them, prior meeting them on the day of their newborn session.
During Hannah’s Syracuse Newborn Photography session, I was able to capture a variety of poses. I posed her individually with both parents, the three as a family, several poses on my newborn beanbag from newborncloud.com and on my beautiful white birch bed. At my gallery viewing sessions, I show up to 30 portraits for parents to love and choose from!
Being a Syracuse Newborn photographer, I enjoy styling my sessions for my babies that come to me for their first portrait sessions. When mom’s (or dad’s in this case) book their newborn sessions in advance, it allows me to thoroughly prepare and gather props, wraps, outfits, etc. that I will need for my session. When I had the consultation for Hannah, a couple months prior to her birth, her parents informed me that they wanted hunter green to match their nursery. I immediately set out to knit a hunter green wrap, bonnet and onesie. And that’s only a small percentage of what I can accomplish prior to the baby being born.
If you are doing your research on the Syracuse newborn photographers, always remember to find one that has had “hands on” training. You will be confident in your choice knowing your baby is in “safety first”, trained hands. If you are wondering about my credentials, you can check them out here.
