Everyone loves to be appreciated. And the Gushlaws make me feel loved and appreciated. have stuck beside me through growing pains of my business and continued to support me even in becoming a newborn photographer. They have traveled over an hour for each session, including, newborn, milestone, and family photography photo sessions. I was blessed to travel up to their location, Thompson Park, Watertown, Jefferson County, for a combined family session with her sisters and mom. That was a blast that you can read all about right here!
As a Jefferson County Family photographer, the beauitful Gushlaws traveled to Oswego County for a family session at Fallbrook Lodge during the autumn season. Fallbrook is one of most photographed location in Oswego for its scenic spot and gorgeous red barn. Being property of SUNY Oswego, its grounds are open to the public to explore and of course, have portrait sessions.
My Family Sessions
For all my family sessions, I supply my families with my own Style Guide to aide them in dressing to impress for their family session. There’s nothing like feeling like a million bucks in front of the camera!
I also take my time in posing my families to eliminate the jitters and awkwardness that might come in standing in front of the lens. I love to have families connect while walking and interacting with each other. This types of posing offers a natural look to the portrait instead of the standard ‘cheese’ freeze.
The best part of family sessions is making the connections with them myself. I love to become friends with my clients. I love the laughter, ad exchange of stories. You find that you have so much to share and take in while walking to the shooting locations.
This breaks any ice and tensions allowing my clients to simply be themselves for me.
