Nevaeh | Syracuse NY Newborn Photographer

May 24, 2019

Here is a little piece of Heaven right here! Nevaeh was at peace with all my posing, props, outfits and more in her Syracuse NY newborn photography session. As a Syracuse, NY newborn photographer, Sweet Nevaeh came to me at 50 days new!!

Now, I know I tell my clients that newborns are best posed within the first 5-14 days of being born, but this girl rocked her newborn session. I’ll be honest I was a little nervous and prepared my mind and studio to go into a lifestyle newborn session instead of my regular newborn posing that I normally do, if I felt she wasn’t flexible to pose.

With Nevaeh I was able to capture many of my signature newborn poses that I normally do in a Syracuse NY newborn photography session. From bum up, chin up, mom, dad and family poses and more, Nevaeh allowed me to mold her into each pose with ease. I was very satisfied with the outcome.

So, what is the difference with a lifestyle session and a studio newborn session??

Lifestyle sessions can be done in either a studio or in the baby’s home granted there is good lighting. With a lifestyle session, it is baby led posing and it seems more natural. Obviously, you wouldn’t find a baby tucked all up in itself on a swing, or in a bucket etc. Lifestyle sessions are often done on a white backdrop or bed and baby wears a simple white onsie, just a diaper, or a loose white blanket. Posing still happens but it is very simple yet beautiful.

Newborn studio posing is what you see me post on my social media page and on my website. It takes extra safety training in posing and lots of patience. Often in newborn sessions, props, heirlooms, and outfit changes happen. Color schemes are limitless. Some of the poses newborn photographers will do are made up by composites and require extra talent in the editing field to put them together and make them look believable as one photograph. Composites are for baby’s safety.

Either a lifestyle session or a newborn studio session is a beautiful way to capture your baby. I can do both styles of session in my studio and fill a memorable gallery for my client. It depends on mom’s preference of style.

If you need newborn portraits, please do not hesitate to call. I encourage my mothers to book prior to their baby being born and as early as the end of the first trimester. There are several benefits to booking in advance and you can learn all about it on my investment page or by giving me a call at (315) 297-1816.

You can also see more beautiful newborns in my newborn gallery.
